Alias plot
The spy series Alias is all about the student and double agent Sydney Bristow. Sydney thinks she has been working for a government agency for seven years, but when her fiancé is murdered by SD-6, she discovers she works for a terrorist arm. She approaches the CIA and becomes a double agent for them. Sydney goes on missions for SD-6, but passes all the information on to her CIA accomplice Michael Vaughn. The fact that the two are strongly attracted to each other makes the situation even more complicated. Sydney is constantly at risk of being exposed. In the series, we get involved with secret agencies, get acquainted with the latest gadgets and witness worldwide espionage missions.

Sidney Bristow (Jennifer Garner) seems like an ordinary girl in her mid-twenties. She studies and works part-time at the Bank Credit Dauphine. This bank is actually a front for the secret spy agency SD-6. Her father Jack Bristow (Victor Garber) also works there, but she has a troubled relationship with him. She sees her boss Arvin Sloane (Ron Rifkin) as a surrogate. Unfortunately, SD-6 turns out to be a shady organization responsible for the deaths of both her mother and her fiancé. Sidney decides to defect to the CIA. However, they want her to stay with SD-6 in order to roll up the case from the inside. So Sidney is trapped in the world of international espionage. Her only confidant is Michael Vaughn (Michael Vartan). Alias is not comparable to spy series like the Americans, 24 or Spooks. It has more in common with James Bond. Somewhat far-fetched plots, sometimes caricatural enemies and a lot of cool gadgets. The series was therefore a more light-hearted entertainment at the time. The cast is very good. Garner plays her best role ever as does Vartan. Victor Garber has a super cool poker face. Rifkin once again shows he can play a great villain. There are also many guest roles by famous actors and actresses, including Ethan Hawke, Lena Olin, Danny Trejo, Sonia Braga and Isabella Rosselini.
