Samuel Adams has a major influence during the War of Independence, the war in which America fights for its independence from Great Britain. Adams gets help in his struggle for independence from his great-nephew John Adams and longtime veteran Paul Revere, among others. John Hancock, one of Boston's leading residents, would also like to see a Declaration of Independence signed. General Thomas Gage is deployed by the English to quell the growing unrest in Boston, but that seems to be a less easy job than expected.
