Emil i Lönneberga plot

Emil is the mischievous, about five-year-old son of Anton and Alma Svensson, who live with his sister Ida on the Katthult farm in Lönneberga in Småland, Sweden. Emil spends a lot of time with Alfred, Lina and Tyttebærmaja, an old lady. Emil also has a pig named Grisepjokket. Emil often gets into trouble because of his pranks. When Emil is up to mischief, his father often gets very angry and then yells out his name. Sometimes Emil is locked in the barn by his father, but he doesn't mind because he is wasting the time carving figures from wood. The shed is full of carved figures. His mother records his pranks in a notebook.
