Irene Huss plot
Irene Huss is referred to as Kurt Wallander's female counterpart. She is a 40-year-old woman who is dedicated to her work and her marriage. She is the mother of teenage twin girls and her husband is a successful chef. As an inspector in Gothenburg's violent crime unit, she has to deal with a slew of criminals. Each new case brings its own quirks and dilemmas, sometimes putting the lives of the entire team at risk.

My score for season 1 is the average score for the 6 episodes. The ending of episode 5 unfortunately dragged the whole thing down a bit; like in many of these series a clumsy display of the police. On average a very good series, comparable to Maria Wern, among others. Well-put together stories, a well-known cast that looked a lot younger and fresher at the time, but certainly performed no worse, filmed in a beautiful setting. A bit of tension here and there and a bit too much closures so that the prisons in Sweden will not fill up quickly.
