Alias Grace plot

In nineteenth century Canada, young American doctor Simon Jordan arrives at Kingston Prison and studies the staggering brain of convicted murderer Grace Marks. He must determine whether this murderess is mentally insane or not. Grace shares a palm-reader's grim predictions for the future and tells of the fate of her friend Mary Whitney, who was always full of life.

Good mini-series about a housekeeper who is imprisoned for the murder of her employer and another housekeeper. A true story set in the middle of the 19th century. The main character remains mysterious and Sarah Gadon manages to capture this well. The time period is also well portrayed (although the decoration seemed a bit simple).
