The Drop: A Snowfall Saga plot

Wanda Bell attempts to make the West Coast hip-hop scene mainstream. She mentors a group of turbulent, up-and-coming artists and tries to guide them through the raw music industry of Los Angeles. Her ambition causes tension with Leon Simmons, who has since renounced street life and is trying to atone for his past by setting up a free legal clinic. As the city shifts from the crack epidemic to the rise of rap, the Bloods and Crips-controlled gang territories in South Central become the focal point of the musical battle.
