The Other Bennet Sister plot
Unlike her sisters, Mary is no typical costume drama heroine. She is clumsy, anxious, didactic, full of facts, and a terrible singer. Ignored by her mother and seemingly doomed to spend the rest of her life on an empty dance schedule, until Mary takes matters into her own hands. She travels from her childhood home in Meryton to the soirées of Regency London and the hills and valleys of the Lake District—all in search of independence, romance, and, most elusive of all, self-love and acceptance.
