Nashville plot

Rayna James (Connie Britton) is a country legend and has a career that most artists would envy. Yet. Lately, her popularity has started to wane. There are still plenty of fans who want her autograph, but the concert halls are no longer packed as in the heyday of her career. Her record company comes up with an idea to boost her popularity again. They organize a concert tour, where she has to share the stage with the young and sexy promise Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere). But the wily Juliette naturally wants to draw all the attention to her. Rayna therefore has little desire to share a stage with this disrespectful, untalented and small shrew, causing a true popularity struggle. But Rayna may have a secret asset when the as-yet-unknown songwriter Scarlett O'Connor helps her relaunch her career.
