The Institute plot
When twelve-year-old genius Luke Ellis is kidnapped, he wakes up in The Institute, a facility filled with children who have all arrived just like him and who all have special gifts. In a nearby town, tormented former police officer Tim Jamieson is looking for a new life. The peace and quiet, however, does not last long when it turns out that his life collides with Luke's.

There have been some great films and series based on King's books, but this one isn't one of them. Sometimes I find them rather childish and quite flawed, and that's the case now as well.
There is a review that speaks of "butchering" a King book, and also someone who wonders where the magic of King has gone (De Morgen), and can only agree with them.
And "the devil is in the details" I was annoyed again by the empty bags, drinking supposedly hot coffee, but it doesn't steam and my lips are bone dry, doors that suddenly open without the special card, etc. etc.
I was glad to finally be rid of those annoying kids....
