Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes plot

When the Milwaukee Police Department entered 31-year-old Jeffrey Dahmer's apartment in July 1991, they discovered a serial killer's eerie personal museum: a freezer full of human heads, skulls, bones, and other remains in various states of decomposition and on display. Dahmer quickly confessed to 16 murders in Wisconsin in the past four years, plus one more in Ohio in 1978, as well as unimaginable acts of necrophilia and cannibalism. The discovery shocked the nation and stunned the local community, who were outraged that such a depraved killer had been allowed to operate in their city for so long. Why was Dahmer, who was convicted in 1988 of sexual assault on a minor, able to avoid suspicion and investigation by the police when he stalked the Milwaukee gay scene for victims, many of whom were people of color?

This comes out because apparently it fascinates a lot of people, but most don't dare to say this. As Dahmer said, a lot of people like to see horror, but I made a really horrible horror movie. What does piss me off about the series is that so many innocent people had to die horribly just because they were colored, poor and gay, so the police had no interest in the disappearances. Two more minor notes: don't tell me the grandmother didn't suspect, and it can't be that he wasn't declared insane in court, if Dahmer isn't crazy, who is?

After the series also watched this documentary, and a lot of extra information is given. It is especially interesting to hear the interviews with Dahmer. Unbelievable how calmly he could talk about these terrible conditions. It is clear that he was a psychopath, but fortunately he was not declared mentally retarded. It's crazy how the prison guards just left him alone with another 'inmate', it seems like Dahmer's murder was planned.
