Billy the Kid plot

Epic romantic adventure based on the life of famed American outlaw Billy the Kid, following from his humble Irish roots, through his early days as a cowboy and marksman on the American frontier, to his pivotal role in the Lincoln County War and beyond. We learn that Billy went through a rough time as an immigrant to the new America of that time, where there was violent and lawless chaos in the Wild West, and general divisions among the various nations.

Op heel veel vlakken een prima serie die bijna zo goed als zeker een tweede seizoen voorbereidt en voor mij niet gelaten. En, als ik iets over de persoon van Billy the Kid mag zeggen...? Dit is nu, om het met een actuele en veel gehoorde bewoording uit te drukken, "een kansarme". Voorgelogen met irreële beloften door overheden, genekt door geweld, corruptie, onrechtvaardige behandeling gaat Billy al heel vlug door voor iemand door die hij absoluut niet is. Omstandigheden hebben hem eenvoudig geen kans gegeven.

In many ways a great series that almost certainly prepares a second season and has not left it for me.

And, if I may say something about Billy the Kid as a person...? This is now, to put it in a current and often heard term, "an underprivileged". Lied to unrealistic promises by governments, choked by violence, corruption, unjust treatment, Billy quickly passes for someone he is absolutely not.

Circumstances simply didn't give him a chance.

Serie zal wel goed zijn, maar kan mij niet bekoren. Acties zijn goed zo als een western behoort te zijn. Maar de acteur die Billy the kid speelt heeft geen charisma voor een outlaw te spelen. Te veel babyface. Het is een dag en nacht verschil die uit 1973, Qua acteurs en film. Alleen de trailer gezien, dus geen ster.

The series will probably be good, but it won't appeal to me.

Actions are good as a western should be.

But the actor who plays Billy the kid has no charisma to play an outlaw.

Too much baby face.

It's a night and day difference from the one from 1973, in terms of actors and film.

Only saw the trailer, so no stars.
