Great series with excellent acting. The story is good, and Uthred and the group that always supported him played it very well. I did find Brida a bit annoying towards the end, unlike Alfred's queen (I can't remember her name). I thought she played a strong performance at the end. The final season, in particular, concluded very well. It's great that you get to see the whole story again before the end. This series is definitely recommended.

Truly a fine final season. The circle is complete. Intrigue and misplaced pride lead to a final bloody battle. Once again, loved ones of Uhtred will die. The precarious balance between the Danish allies and the Saxons comes under pressure again. No peace in turbulent times. And meanwhile, our strong, stoic Viking brother sets out to set things right. The price he pays for his noble nature is still too high. The final season of 'The Last Kingdom' deals the last emotional blows with impressive battles and cynical political power games.
