In a universe where superheroes are known to the public, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and his group of vigilantes, known as 'The Boys', attempt to shed light on the 'Supes' true intentions, working for the mysterious Vought corporation. This third season picks up where we left off. Fundamentally, the relationships between the characters have not changed since the first episode of the first season. The plot is still paper thin (what is this about?) and the story is a bit of a rip-off. Just like the previous seasons, this series has to rely on a handful of beautiful, original shots and scenes. For the rest, almost nothing happens that resembles progress towards the denouement. The kills are basically all the same: people just explode. I also wonder what the target audience of this series is. We haven't caught a glimpse of a tit in three seasons, but not an episode goes by that we don't see a penis swinging like the blades of a windmill or a guy thrusting his naked ass into the camera.

Great third season, although some characters struggle to stay interesting and especially relevant. Fortunately, the terrifying Homelander (Antony Starr) towers over everything and everyone. He is and remains the main reason to keep watching. Furthermore, the usual dose of blunt and over-the-top gory action scenes, with this time also the necessary playing time reserved for all kinds of freaky sexual shit. All in all still worth it, but the series is slowly starting to show some wear and tear.

Oh man! This is great, I think this is my favorite season so far. Seriously enjoyed non-stop! The humor, brutal action and the story... I love it.
