Luther plot

For Inspector John Luther, solving crimes is not work. It's a calling. Luther is a brilliant detective, who keeps his own laws and rules and regularly amazes his colleagues with his keen insight. With full dedication he takes on the psychological duel with psychopaths, murderers... and the demons that dwell within himself. For Luther has a troubled mind. At times he is friendly and vulnerable, at other times tough and even violent. Given the latter, some wonder whether he is not primarily driven by an urge to self-destruct. Just a little better than the previous episode. I thought it was a good idea to make it two double episodes. The long-running storylines work well for this series in my opinion. For example, in both stories Luther had to deal with well-developed bad guys and cramped situations were created. As far as I'm concerned, it was also a good move to make Alice Morgan less in the picture, which I found a very annoying character in the first season. The same goes for DSU Martin Schenk, but I had absolutely no problems with that again this season. Still, I think four (or actually 2 long) episodes are just a bit too short for a series.
