Er zijn veel gevangenis documentaires en series, maar deze is erg vermakelijk. Het is de eerste serie die ik in één avond/ nacht uitgekeken heb. Los van de ellendige situatie waarin de vrouwen zich bevinden kun je wel met ze lachen om hun uitspraken en ogenschijnlijk zinloze ruzies. Meestal gaat soortgelijke tv over hoe een gevangene over zijn/ haar misdaad praat, of hoe de bewakers alles in het gareel houden. Dat komt hier ook aan bod maar je komt nu meer te weten over onderlinge vriendschappen en relaties. Ik heb met stomme verbazing zitten kijken naar de gesprekken via het toilet tussen de dames en de heren van verschillende verdiepingen. Er ontstaan heuse relaties en er wordt zelfs vreemd gegaan. Ik moest lachen toen Katrina woest haar brieven van Dolla verscheurde nadat hij met een andere vrouw praatte omdat zij overgeplaatst was. Sommige gevangenen zijn eigenlijk slachtoffer van hun opvoeding of omgeving. Om dan in zo´n omgeving te belanden die in schril contrast staat met de vrijheid die wij als kijkers hebben.. Dat zet je toch aan het denken. Als Bianca en Brianna trouwen mogen ze elkaar na het ja-woord niet eens een kusje geven. Het zal wel terecht zijn, maar ik had toch met ze te doen.

There are many prison documentaries and series, but this one is very entertaining. It's the first series I've watched in one evening/night. Apart from the miserable situation in which the women find themselves, you can laugh with them at their statements and apparently pointless quarrels.

Usually similar TV is about how an inmate talks about his/her crime, or how the guards keep everything in line. That is also discussed here, but you will now learn more about mutual friendships and relationships. I watched with astonishment the conversations through the toilet between the ladies and gentlemen from different floors. Real relationships arise and there is even cheating. I had to laugh when Katrina furiously tore up her letters from Dolla after he talked to another woman because she had been transferred.

Some prisoners are actually victims of their upbringing or environment. To end up in such an environment that is in stark contrast to the freedom that we have as viewers.. That makes you think. When Bianca and Brianna get married, they can't even kiss each other after the yes. It may be right, but I still felt sorry for them.
