I don't really like puzzles, but this is very well done. It is definitely recommended to take a look at the summary of season one before starting this second series, otherwise you will quickly get hopelessly lost within the complex storylines and different time layers. You have to go through that for a while, but then you also have something. This second season is even more exciting and intense than the first series, with a lot of surprises and bizarre twists. Shit, now another two years waiting for the third (and reportedly last) season...

What an in-depth series. Most in-depth series I know. The connections in Game of Thrones families are still simple compared to this 'knot'. I think you have to be very sharp if you want to understand everything at once. But it is fascinating.
That there is no decent recap of season 1 says enough about the complexity of this series. Writing or telling a summary is becoming too complex. I'll have to read a bit more about this series before I get the hang of it. Hopefully they'll make a good one hour recap for season 3, otherwise it's best to rewatch everything.
I realized on the last episode that Magnus and Francisca are the two silent helpers of Adam in 1921. By the way, Adam had a really great voice and the series has some great quotes too, like Adam talking about pain being a ship and longing for the compass.
