Alta Mar plot

A grand transatlantic ship brimming with passengers is en route from Europe to South America in search of a brighter future. On board are the two sisters Carolina and Eva, who are as different as they are inseparable, and a handsome officer, Nicolás Sala, who has misplaced fate. There is a mystery to be solved: the murder of a passenger whose name is not on the passenger list and whom no one remembers. Love, intrigue and many lies... in a ship that hides a story in each of its cabins and a dark secret deep inside. Only one thing is clear: the killer cannot leave the ship.

Redelijk. Zoals hierboven al wordt aangegeven wordt het nooit echt spannend, al proberen ze dit wel. Het is allemaal tamelijk voorspelbaar en je weet vaak al snel welke richting het opgaat. Het tempo is ook niet echt hoog, maar dat kan ook aan het verhaal liggen die niet echt interessant genoeg is om te blijven boeien. Het tempo is daardoor ook niet echt hoog en het wordt af en toe ook een tikkeltje saai. Het acteerwerk is prima, de setting is best gaaf en er hangt toch wel een aangenaam sfeertje. Voor tussendoor prima te doen, maar verwacht geen hoogstaand uitgewerkt script. Het is allemaal al weleens beter uitgevoerd.

As indicated above, it never gets really exciting, although they do try. It's all quite predictable and you often quickly know which direction it's going.

The pace isn't really fast either, but that could also be due to the story, which isn't really interesting enough to keep you interested.

The tempo is therefore not really high and it gets a bit boring now and then.

The acting is fine, the setting is pretty cool and there is a pleasant atmosphere.

Fine for in between, but don't expect a highly developed script. It's all been done better before.
