Reviews & comments

Just seen the first three episodes, photographic, lighting and shots are way above all other series. It's a bit slower than previous seasons, but that doesn't bother me at all. It's the details that are amazing, that one sentence that does it that I don't see in almost any other series. Only battlestar galactica is equally good at this in many episodes.

As in the previous season, the threat of Gilead is somewhat gone, allowing the main character to make elaborate plans for revenge. It feels a little unlikely because there are so many people working with it, and it only takes one traitor and the plan falls apart. Anyway, if you don't think too much about it and instead goes along with the plot, it's pretty interesting.

Less flashbacks in my opinion, which is nice. The one by Aunt Lydia seemed very interesting to me, but turned out to be quite disappointing. The psychological explanation of a failed date set up by a single mother as an explanation for her character feels too easy.

A tad less than the previous season, also because the climax is mainly a "one up" (or rather "eighty-five up") of that of the previous season. 3*.
