'Wisting' doesn't really do anything wrong. The beautiful atmospheric shots you would expect from a Nordic noir and William Wisting (Sven Nordin) and Line Wisting (Thea Green Lundberg) are entertaining title characters. It's fun how the Wistings not only have a father-daughter relationship, but also professionally come into each other's business as a homicide detective and journalist. Gives the somewhat standard set-up of this detective series a pleasant dynamic by emphasizing a stronger female role. But I noticed that my attention regularly slackened because it is a muddle of uninteresting plot lines and dramatic relationships between the various characters. A 'red herring' is raised a little too often to suggest that it is more cleverly put together than it actually is. It also doesn't help that the series suddenly changes tack halfway through and gives a different interpretation to the initial murder mystery. But somehow 'Wisting' is not against either. It has two decent climaxes (albeit slightly over the top) and I'm invested enough to keep following the characters if there is a second season. However, you can also safely skip it and spend your time on something else in the wide range of series.

Pleasant Norwegian crime, especially enjoyable because of the sympathetic characters, although the plot is also quite well put together. One of the most striking aspects concerns the construction; after episode five the cake seems to be finished and everything is apparently finished, but then certain loose ends form the beginning of a new exciting story. The beautiful pictures of Larvik and surroundings also contribute to the atmosphere of the whole. I'm recommended for a second series.

Fairly good but certainly not the best series in this genre. In fact divided into two stories, each 5 parts, which are intertwined. I liked the first story better. It must have been intentional, but I thought that the police were portrayed rather clumsily, especially towards the denouements. The cast was good with some familiar faces from other Scandinavian crime series. Some sidesteps in the private and relational area are part of it; that's stuffing. The whole thing looked fine.
