Rescue Me plot

Rescue Me centers on the fortunes of Ladder Company 62, a fire station in New York City, and the personal and emotional battles of its members in a post-9/11 world. Tommy Gavin is a senior firefighter whose life is in turmoil as he copes with the stresses and anxieties of his job and the divorce from his wife Janet. Tommy moves into a house across her street to stay close to their three children and keep an eye on her. The tensions and anxieties about his job are expressed through conversations with his late cousin Jimmy Keefe, a former firefighter, as well as haunting memories of people he saw die on the job.
