2024 was a massive year for cinema, with the summer period flourishing thanks to the releases of Barbie and Oppenheimer. The movies were released around the same time and many cinema-goers actually did the double-feature, which was affectionately named 'Barbenheimer'.

New Movie Releases this week
A new Mean Girls movie will be released this week based on the musical, which is, in turn, based on the original 2004 movie.
Tina Fey wrote both and returns as her character Mrs. Norbury.

The Book of Clarence is an epic biblical comedy-drama film written and directed by Jeymes Samuel, with Jay-Z on board as a notable producer.

The End We Start From is a survival thriller is based on the novel of the same name by Megan Hunter. It concerns a mother who attempts to find her way north with a newborn baby amid apocalyptic flooding in London.

Paul Giamatti and Alexander Payne team together again for new comedy-drama The Holdovers. There is plenty of Oscar buzz for this one as Giamatti already claimed the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for his performance.

'A curmudgeonly instructor at a New England prep school remains on campus during Christmas break to babysit a handful of students with nowhere to go.
