One of the most highly-anticipated movies of 2024 is undoubtedly Joker: Folie a Deux.

Joaquin Phoenix earned an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance as Arthur Fleck.

A sequel, Joker: Folie a Deux, is coming - and it's nearly finished.

“Something I appreciate about Todd Phillips — who I’ve done seven movies with, including Joker — is that he’s always taking risks," cinematographer Lawrence Sher told Definition Magazine.

“We’ve got the new Joker coming out next year and we’re just finishing up post-production on it. This movie is a big swing and it’s going to be really surprising to people. I’m so excited for everyone to see it.”

Who stars in Joker 2?

Phoenix will return in the title role.

Lady Gaga will play Joker's love interest, Harley Quinn. In March of 2023, set photos were released as fans got their first view of the popstar in the movie.

In the comic books, Quinn is a psychologist who is eventually manipulated by Joker.

Quinn has already been played to huge success and acclaim by Margot Robbie in the DC extended universe, with the character having most recently appeared in The Suicide Squad.

In September, Brendan Gleeson joined the cast in an unspecified role, while Zazie Beetz was announced for a return.
