Furiosa will act as a prequel to Fury Road and will tell the story of how the character made her way into the clutches of the villain of the first movie, Immortan Joe.
The official synopsis reads:
"As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home."
Hemsworth leads the gang as Dementus, and that meant he got to hang out with some Hell's Angels.
“A lot of the actors… some were ex-criminals, one was a Hell’s Angel, people who came from very colourful and complicated lives," Hemsworth said of Miller's casting process.
"He’d interview them, and he wouldn’t get them to read the script, but ask them to tell him a story, tell him about their lives. All of a sudden, there was a truth there, like they were seen for the first time. So on the long days, going into battle, they were there for him.”
As the trailer begins, we get some text on the screen describing the events of the movie:
'45 years after the collapse, a young Furiosa is taken from her family. She will devote the rest of her life to finding her way home. This is her odyssey.'
The trailer is truly remarkable and perfectly encapsulates the world that Miller created in the Mad Max movies and then Fury Road, while Hemsworth is almost unrecognisable!
