John Krasinski has confirmed the US release date for A Quiet Place: Part III.
The horror franchise, which includes A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place: Part II and A Quiet Place: Day One, has been critically and commercially successful for Paramount Pictures so it seemed inevitable that a fourth movie would arrive at some point.
It will be the third film in the original trilogy but will tie into the story of Day One, which acted as a prequel to Part I and Part II.
Krasinski, who will return as writer and director for Part III after Michael Sarnoski took the helm for Day One, announced on Instagram that the movie will be released on 9 July 2027.
At the conclusion of A Quiet Place: Part II, the survivors of the creature invasion, led by Emily Blunt's Evelyn Abbott and her daughter Regan Abbott, find a way to broadcast a high-frequency sound over airwaves that harms the creatures.
But, if there's a third movie coming, it looks like the plan to kill all the invaders didn't quite work!
What is the plot of A Quiet Place: Part III?
Before the second movie was released, Krasinski said he had ideas for a third.
"It’s interesting, I genuinely hadn’t thought about a second one when I was doing the first one. However, I really had these questions while I was doing it," he told Collider.
"I put the fires out in the distance in the first one, and I always thought to myself, 'Wouldn’t it be cool if we got to explore where those fires lead to? Who’s on the other end of those fires?' But I never thought that there would be a sequel.
"So then when I actually came around to writing the sequel, I started with the fires. And so this time, I think when my brain started wandering of questions of what would this mean later on, I started to write down notes in case I could prepare myself for a third one."
