Denzel Washington and Spike Lee are reuniting for a new crime thriller and we couldn't be more excited.

The pair have collaborated on four projects in their careers so far - Mo' Better Blues, He Got Game, Malcolm X and, most recently in 2006, Inside Man.

Their new project, Highest 2 Lowest, tells the story of a music producer who must confront criminals after his son is kidnapped.

The official premise reads:

'When a powerful music mogul is targeted by a ransom plot, he is forced to fight for his family and legacy while jammed up in a life-or-death moral dilemma.'

In addition to Washington, it stars Jeffrey Wright, Ilfenesh Hadera, ASAP Rocky, Ice Spice, Dean Winters, John Douglas Thompson and LaChanze among others.

Highest 2 Lowest is a modern spin on Akira Kurosawa's High and Low, which features a businessman being extorted.
