"LOVE and LIFE at Stake! Rustlers and Ranchers in a Fight to a Finish!"
After an argument with his father, Gene Autry goes around on Colonel Millhouse's Wild West show. When the show returns to his hometown of Pine Ridge, Gene discovers that Lew Parker is stirring up a fight between the ranchers and the "Turpentiners" who need the land for their pine trees. Before Gene can put an end to the feud, Parker has Gene's father as well as Bayliss Baynum, the leader of the Turpentiners, murdered. Gene, suspected of Baynum's murder, investigates himself to prove his innocence.
