Utah Evans escaped prison kills Sheriff McClay. Joe "Wild Mustang" Norton was McClay's predecessor who sent Evans to prison. Ma McClay now takes over her husband's duties for a while and asks Norton to come back. Norton accepts the invitation and Utah Evans finds out that Norton is on his way to recapture him. That is adding fuel to the fire for Utah Evans, and Evans hopes to settle the score with Norton that he once sent him to prison.
