A touring variety show led by artist Willie Wells hits a small Arizona town. But the company is not warmly received by the haughty locals and Willie expects to get these people excited by performing in King Carloss Randall's saloon. Katie, Willie Wells' daughter, meets shy schoolteacher Tod Howell in the saloon and falls in love with him. After Katie and her father's variety show are ambushed by a gang of outlaws led by a masked bandit, they both find out that the bandit is Randall.
