In the rodeo circuit, men are always murdered, including Tex's brother (Tex Ritter). He searches and finds the possible perpetrators in Middleton. Here's a man named Barker (Earl Dwire) who assumes that his rodeo rider Squint Palmer (Yakima Canutt) will rake in the prize money. However, when Tex proves to be a better rider, they try to poison him so that he will die a mysterious death like the others.
