The Wolf Hunters plot

After four fur hunters are killed and their furs stolen, Corporal Rod Webb of the Royal Northwest Mounted Police heads to their village to investigate. Along the way, Webb and his dog Chinook encounter another fur hunter: Henri. Henri appears to have been shot and is unconscious. The fur he was supposed to deliver to fur trader JL McTavish has been stolen. Chinook finds the trail of the suspected culprit Muskoka and can just bite off a piece of cloth from his jacket before he escapes. Webb leaves the injured Henri with Renée and continues in search of Muskoka. Minnetaki, McTavish's Indian former assistant, who he fired, tells Webb on the way that he doesn't trust McTavish and Marcia, the wife of trading post owner Edward Cameron.
