The Traveling Executioner plot

Jonas Candide (Keach) travels in 1918 through the southern United States in a portable electric chair. He is a freelance executioner, offering his services for $100 per execution. When he takes a job in an Alabama prison, he must execute a young woman named Gundred Herzallerliebst (Hill) and her brother (Stefan Gierasch). The brother comes first. The night before Gundred's execution, she seduces Jonas and they fall in love. With the help of Doc Prittle (Jarvis), Jonas sets out to stage Gundred's execution, but the doctor demands a heavy price.
