The Strawberry Roan plot
"A great horse story! A great heart story!"
Young Joe is paralyzed when he is thrown from a wild horse. Walt, his father tries to shoot the horse, but is stopped by his foreman Gene Autry. The horse escapes and Autry is fired by Walt. Autry catches the horse again and trains him. Autry wants to give the horse to Joe as a means of comfort and to cope with his paralysis.
