The Speed Maniac plot
Billy Porter sells his ranch and travels to San Francisco to try his hand at business. Porter is stopped upon arrival by a small newspaper delivery man and his father, the fighter "Knockout" McClusky. Porter takes on Knockout's training for his next boxing fight. The opposing team makes sure that Knockout is suspected of using narcotics in order to get the money without having to fight for it. But instead of Knockout, Porter steps into the ring himself to avoid losing the money from the fight.
