The Scarlet West plot

The Indian and son of a chief Cardelanche returns from the east and finds himself rejected by his own tribe. Cardelanche is promoted to captain of the United States Army when he rescues a cavalry detachment from a group of renegade Native Americans. Cardelanche then becomes further estranged from his people when he develops a romance with Miriam, the daughter of Fort Remmington's commander.
