The Old Homestead plot
Wertheimer, a talent scout for New York radio, heads to the countryside after receiving numerous letters from Nancy Abbott. In those letters she writes about the talent of her friend Bob Shackleforth and his four fellow musicians. The musicians get their own program in New York and they become a hit. Meanwhile, Nancy gets to know famous singer Rudy Nash. Bob finds the singer intolerable and the relationship between him and Nancy is about to explode. During a performance by the musicians in a nightclub, Nancy and Rudy visit the same nightclub...
