Tom Kirk, aka 'The Navajo Kid', goes in search of the bandit or bandits who murdered his foster father, Indian agent Joe Kirk. Both Joe Kirk's ring and watch have been stolen. The trail leads straight to Canyon City, Texas, to shrewd poker player Honest John Grogan. Grogan is in possession of the stolen items. But Grogan has a rock-solid alibi for the time of the murder. This alibi is confirmed by none other than Sheriff Roy Landon.
