The Lady from Texas plot
Texas, 1888. Bonnie Lee, a humble kitchen helper on Dan Blodgett's ranch, turns to ranch helper and self-proclaimed do-gooder Dan Mason for support. It seems that Bonnie's old girlfriend Birdie Wheeler is in danger of becoming a victim of the criminal couple Cyril and Mabel Guthrie. However, Mason is reluctant to help Bonnie until he meets Birdie, an eccentric war widow, who refuses to believe that her husband was killed in action during the American Civil War. The Guthries try to have Birdie declared incapacitated so that they can claim her ranch. Mason has no intention of letting this happen.
