The Golden Trail plot
"There'll always be killin' in boom town while hot lead is cheaper than pay dirt! He led a chorus of ballads and bullets...in a cloud of pay dirt in Boomtown!"
Ceegareet's gang is in a reign of terror and controls the small town of Boom Town. No gold miner making a little profit is safe from the gang. Tex Roberts and his partner Slim Hunkafeller have tapped a rich vein and are the next victims of the gang. The gang leader, afraid of Roberts, tries to get him out of the way by laying a trail that makes it appear that Roberts is the gang leader. Sheriff Bat Toles falls for the plan and arrests Roberts. The gang fears he will escape and wants to blow up his cell using dynamite. The plan is only partially successful. During the explosion, Roberts is not killed, but manages to escape.
