The Fighting Marshal plot
Not knowing that he has been pardoned, Tim Benton decides to escape from prison. When he takes the newly arrived marshal hostage, he changes clothes and is welcomed as the new marshal. Tim takes the job and moments later the two men who previously charged him with murder arrive. Tim devises a plan to clear his name.
