The Cowboy Star plot
"Gangsters Invade West!"
Fed up with life in Hollywood, Spencer Yorke, the star of the cowboy movie, sets out with his partner Buckshot to buy a ranch in Arizona. Life in the cattle town of Taylorsville is so dull that even Sheriff Clem Baker complains about lack of action. That opinion is shared by his daughter Mary and son Jimmy. Jimmy is a big fan of Yorke and recognizes him when he arrives in Ghost Town, a deserted village. Yorke, however, swears that his name is George Weston. Mary Baker does find out his real name because she sells him a ranch. However, she promises to keep Yorke's name a secret. Three big city outlaws hide in the saloon in Ghost Town and capture Jimmy. The bandits suspect Jimmy was sent to spy on them.
