The Bandit Trail plot

"BROTHERS IN BANDITRY - as Tim makes the looting of the gold-studded west a family affair!"

Rancher Tom Haggerty is killed while trying to stop a shootout between his hot-tempered brother Red and the sheriff, who is trying to repossess Haggerty's ranch because he has defaulted on a bank loan. After Tom's son Steve learns of his father's death, he is reluctantly persuaded by his Uncle Red to help rob the local bank. While waiting to rob another bank in the next town, Steve becomes a town marshal to gain inside information on the town's affairs, but he soon takes his job to heart when he falls in love with Ellen, the daughter of the banker. His honor is on the line when he faces not only the guns of the local saloonkeeper's gang, but also the wrath of his uncle when he discovers his cousin has betrayed him.
