Sagebrush Troubadour plot
The old and half-blind Frank Martin has found gold, but is murdered before he can register the claim. Everyone is looking for Martin's horse to lead them to the gold mine. When Gene Autrey and his partner arrive to investigate the murder, they are themselves charged with the murder for carrying Martin's horse, which they found along the way. Autrey and his partner go to Martin's ranch and the horse is placed in plain sight to get the killer's attention.
