Because John Avery, Gypsy Avery and Jackson want Tug Cardwell to hand over his claim to a gold mine, they have Tug's girlfriend Jane Whipple kidnapped by the outlaw Bob Rankin. Rankin hides Jane, but he demands half of the claim from his three clients. Dave Saunders and Mexican Chito Jose Gonzalez Bustamante Rafferty, both friends of Tug, find Jane and lead her to safety. The three conspirators shoot Rankin dead, then capture Tug and force him to hand over his claim to the gold mine to them. But Dave and Chito are hot on both Avery's and Johnson's.
