"SUNSET CARSON FRONTS FOR UNCLE SAM!...and the mail goes through!"

Dave Webster, guard of the 'Red River Line Stagecoach' is attacked by two bandits en route. Postal Inspector Sunset Carson and detective Julie Bennett, who works incognito for the 'Pinkertons', manage to repel the stagecoach robbery. Not long after, another stagecoach is ambushed; this time by Lon Ballard and Hackett, killing Dave Webster. Sunset meets Julia Bennett again in town, at the office of the Wells Fargo Express, run by Frank Stevens. Julia seems to work there as a servant. Sunset also meets and befriends saddler and retired postal inspector Pop Underwood. When Sunset goes to his hotel one evening, he finds Julia and Dave Webster's father Mark as they search his hotel room. Both manage to escape, but Underwood finds them at a lake, where the hat of the slain Dave Webster is also located.
