Martha, a young widow, lives with her son on an isolated ranch. When Matt, a wealthy rancher and landowner, threatens to lose her land, she gets help from Randy, a shrewd foreman. Matt also preys on a great wild stallion and offers a reward for whoever catches it. Coincidentally, the $500 reward is exactly the amount Martha owes him.
