In Old Montana plot
Fred Dawson and Doc Flanders are dispatched to investigate a conflict between livestock farmers and sheep farmers. The two pose as an itinerant company selling medicines and soon become involved in the conflict. When Dawson tries to bring the two warring parties closer together, Joe Allison is shot and Dawson is blamed. Dawson disappears behind bars and a mob gathers to hang him without waiting for the trial. Flanders tries to help Dawson escape before it's too late.
