An elderly man leaves Wyoming to visit his daughter. She lives in a small town in Massachusetts and he thinks she could use his help, even though she didn't ask for it. Upon arrival, he is told that his daughter is a lawyer. She is in great stress because one of the leading men of the village has left her with a difficult case. However, her father has a solution for that; he does a kind of rain dance like he learned from an Indian in order to make the man disappear. It actually works, after which the sheriff immediately suspects him of the disappearance and wants to arrest him.
