Bill Elliott and his partner Gabby Hayes battle a cartel of ruthless land robbers who are attacking ranchers across the Southwestern United States at the behest of attorney Gilbert J. Leland. Formidable villains like "Henchman" Bannon, Ed Purcell, "The Whistler" Elliott has his hands full. In addition, June Clark, who is in love with Elliott, also demands a lot of attention from him. Ed Purcell is charged by Leland to accuse Elliott and Hayes of murder and wants the townspeople to lynch both of them.
