Cowboy Cavalier plot
"He packs a SOCK in each SONG...and FURY in each FIST!"
Pat Croft is greeted on her return home by her stagecoach line mother Maria, foreman Jimmy Wakely and 'Cannonball'. Lance Regan, who met Pat on her trip home, is hired by Mary when he tells her about Patrick Collins, who is now in prison. Outlaw Mason and his henchmen rob a stagecoach carrying a gold load, only to be chased off by Jimmy. Lance, however, gives Mason a chance to escape. A little later, Lance and Mason plot another attack on a shipment of gold. Cannonball sees Lance exit the stagecoach and warns Jimmy in time, causing another robbery to fail. Lance is fired for leaving his post, but Mary, being blackmailed, hires Lance again. Suspicious Jimmy goes to visit Patrick Collins in prison to learn more about Lance.
