"Gene takes on the British"
Young Edward, Earl of Granville, inherits a ranch and is eager to sell it. Gene Autry, the foreman, tries to convince him not to, but instead to breed horses for the military. Neale is the competitor who also wants to sell his horses to the military. The Army Colonel decides to hold a race between Autry and Neale to determine the winner when it turns out that the two competitors are asking the same price. The night before the race, Autry's stable burns down.
